Brecon Beacons

Brecon Beacons - Pen Y Fan

After being in London for 6 months, I find myself looking more than ever for an escape to the outdoors. With a couple of shoots in Bristol, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to go and shoot sunrise from the top of Pen Y Fan.

This shot was taken with a Canon 5D MKIII and a Helios 44-2. I'm always one for investing in camera equipment. When I purchased the Helios a couple of weeks back, I wasn't sure what to expect from this six pound lens. Turns out, its one of the best lenses that I have ever bought.

Sometime's it takes sitting on the edge of life to realise that you're really alive.

It's been a long time since my lungs and mind have felt that clear. Whilst stood at the top of Pen Y Fan with a bunch of mates, you really start to appreciate the things that are free in life. Snapping some photos, taking the chance to absorb some fresh air and putting in some effort to exercise. I'm so unfit, haha.

The Brecon Beacons, its absolutely stunning. Wales is such an underrated place.
